I intended to post these sooner but some photoshop mishap (the kind that could drive someone to the edge, or just leave you to melt in a puddle of tears) slowed me down.
This series is from the first day of Amy Wenzel's workshop. It was a 3 days getaway to Grand Rapids, Michigan. I fell in love with the place, the people we met, the downtown area with beautiful building and a modern feel, the "green/organic" awareness, the weather (so mild and refreshing). It was a beautiful setting for a fa [...]

They're all back in France! And I'm sad, it was such a treat to have my family with me. But then again, I will travel there pretty soon for my early trip home to Provence. Every year, we seem to extend our visit a little longer, this time it will be a generous 6 weeks.
For today, I wanted to share some pictures of my niece, Rose, who will turn 11 in just a month. She has a natural grace about her, and has been taking dance lessons all her life. She is very talented, and is attending one of [...]

I have struggled with this post! Sam is the sweetest little boy, most adorable in all pictures. I had to restrain myself and try to select just a few favorite images. You've got to admit it's a hard task with such a cute little model. His parents are new to Pensacola (they haven't endured a summer yet...) Jake is going to flight school, and Holly is staying very busy with little mister Sam.
I love his hat, I'm a big fan of hats on babies and children,
All smiles..
Lovely family,

Hello wonderful Cyber space world!
What a great weekend we had here in Pensacola. 2 hot dates with my hubby and friends. I'm not a difficult girl to please on a date, I just LOVE going to the movies, and right now the theaters have plenty of great selections. Friday night was Taken, which takes place in France (right there I'm on board), packed with action, Liam Neeson is a kick-ass dad. Thankfully the horror of the kidnapping isn't so much the focus in the movie, it's mostly all about Liam [...]

I LOVE this family! They are very very dear to me. Henry and Jenni's uncle, Leo have been friends forever, they share many extraordinary fishing tales together. Really, all of Jenni's big family has been close to Henry and all have always been so sweet to me. Besides, I've photographed Walton when he was just a few days old. He was my first baby model, and one of his pictures remains my all time favorite. I have used that image many times through out town as advertisement for my baby photo [...]

It is chili in P'cola, FL. Literally, when I drove away this morning to drop the kids off to school, I saw icicles on my garbage bin, where the sprinkler water was spilling from the cover, it froze! on the spot, I'm going to have to take some pictures and document this strange phenomenon. The other day it was much more poetic, as it happened on my rose bush. It was really beautiful with the sun shining through, but I was so cold, I just enjoyed it from my window, instead of pulling my camera [...]

My friend, Barclay and her family are totally committed to their horses. She recently asked me to take pictures of her children at the barn. It was so much fun, it reminded me of when I was a kid and had my one year fling of riding. Only good memories, I was so close to getting my own horse, just like Avery and Walker.
Avery on her pony, Oliver Twist. Isn't that the coolest name?
And Walker with his horse, Custom Taylored.
I had to put this one in,
This little girl has the [...]

A quick teaser of a session at the barn. My friend, Barclay asked me to photograph her children in their favorite environment. I started tonight looking through some of the pictures I took that day and found many keepers. I couldn't resist posting one before heading to bed. I hope everyone had a marvelous thanksgiving and a good dose of family gatherings. I went to our family dinner determined not to eat too much and I'm not sure how it happened but I stuffed myself. I think I take dieting [...]

I recently photographed Alisa, but this time her godmothers came along, and we took advantage of Pensacola's beautiful beach. Anastasia and Lia are sisters, both in college and were visiting for a short time. I had a great time with the 3 of them, Alisa is smitten with her gorgeous godmothers, and was very patient with us.
The girls are just striking. I love the contrast of their beautiful long dark hair, Olive skin and Alisa's blond curls with her fair complexion.
Alisa didn't ca [...]

I know it's a little early, but today I feel pretty good about Henry's (my man) father's day present. It sure beats my first ever mother's day present, 10 years ago: a fly fishing rod!!! I tried my best to practice in our backyard everyday for a good 15 minutes, under Henry's watchful eyes, but never really got into it. I imagine, his ulterior motive was for me to really dig it, then we could go on fly fishing trips together... Well 10 years later, I still try to come up with something more [...]

I had such a good time photographing Alisa, one of my daughter's friend. She has the most beautiful hair, angelic face and is lots of fun. I forgot to mention energy, she has more than I've ever seen, if only I had 1/10 of it...
And her smile!, she's beautiful in any mood, but when she smiles, it's radiant.
Her favorite doll, Madeleine, is one of my favorite characters too. We share a lot in common, just like her I went to an all girl boarding school, with a very similar uniform, in P [...]
