- Every time I post on my blog, I struggle with writing the text. This time the challenge may be to keep it short. You see, this beautiful girl is mine. Thinking of her, looking at her floods me with emotions, pride and so so much love. She has been sitting in my heart, so comfortable, enlarging it and taking so much space in there. It has me worried that this summer when she heads off to college, her physical departure will deflate that pumped up heart of mine in a very painful way. I know [...]

- Really not long ago, I was pregnant with Meg. Jill was also pregnant with Anna Lowrey. We then saw each other almost every Sunday at Christ church, and every weekday, at school dropping our kids off. I have known Anna Lowrey since she was a newborn. She has grown into a fun, beautiful young lady full of spunk. It seems it happened overnight! There is so much yet ahead of you. I will continue to enjoy watching this batch of seniors evolving through life.

- I'm not sure how I missed posting these pictures of Logan. Several years back I photographed her brother, Finn, it is so gratifying to continue working for the same families and get those very special portraits of all their children as they are about to embark on a new chapter of their lives... college! Perhaps because I'm also living it with my own children, I really appreciate the meaning of these pictures as the "birds are about to fly out of the nest". Logan has been committed to the chil [...]

- It's become a tradition to have a few pictures taken during your senior year, some of the images will be used for graduation announcement. Quite a special milestone when you think of it, it marks the end of your 12 years in the school system, and mostly the end of living with your parents at home... The transition to moving to becoming independent, living semi-on-your own, in a dorm. It's also time to appreciate all those years hard work and celebrate your college acceptance! In Riley's case. [...]

- I loved photographing Meghan, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this time in her life!

- I always try to get a feel for what my clients like, so that their session will fit their personality. Generally the parents will give me clues. Stewart's mom gave me the best description to date in just one simple sentence: "I call him my preppy redneck surfer". I must admit I had to do a little research because when she mentioned mudding and mud holes, I had no idea what we were discussing, but I really enjoyed photographing Stewart in one of his favorite mud holes with his truck. I love t [...]

- And just after I announced I wasn't photographing seniors, I will be posting 5 more seniors from this 2018 class. I had some prior engagements to this notice, and will continue to service past clients if they request it, but I would rather dedicate my time to maternity and newborn photography and do not plan on taking on new senior clients.
However, getting to meet and photograph a fine young man like Blake almost made me want to reconsider this decision! It was such a pleasure to spend an af [...]

- I am mostly focusing on newborn photography these days, but I still love to photograph high school seniors. Especially ones as nice as Lauren! I can't wait to see what you do with your life, I have a pretty good feeling it is going to be well thought out and successful path.

- I had the pleasure to photograph Joe last week. I had no idea that Gulf Breeze high school had athletes pole vault jumping and Joe is on their team and when to compete in the State's championship... pretty impressive!

- Graduating from Gulf Breeze High School with the class of 2017, Tyler. She was part of the senior model team, in the hipster/camping set. This was such a fun session, with both her mother and grand mother, as my new extraordinary assistants!

- Winter is coming! I love this weather for senior sessions, you can finally layer. Caleb did a great job selecting extra pieces to make different looks out of one base outfit. It's always fun to see my team models for their senior session!

- Though past being a high school senior, I was very happy to photograph Rush, having had his sister in front of my lens a few years ago, and loving his sweet mother. Seriously! all that gorgeous hair! I'll always remember Yancy Spencer's remark when my son let his hair grow: he didn't want me to cut his spirit away! Glad the timing worked so perfectly, 2 days later Rush was sporting a short hair cut, he still looks just as handsome!
