- For a short time, several years ago, I considered doing what I called "femme" photography. Images to celebrate us, women, as we go through time, because really every stages of our lives are worth celebrating. No matter those extra unwanted pounds that just won't let go of us, no matter those fine lines we acquire over the years. It's all part of embracing who we are, accepting aging, and that we are beautiful inside, and that the outside is plenty enough beautiful as it is. My interest and f [...]

- And every once in a while I do photograph a long time client for a family session. Here is one of my very favorite people, if you know her, you must agree she is pure kindness: Laura. She owns the beautiful women's clothes boutique downtown near Dharma Blue, "Bluetique". If you haven't been yet, hurry to go visit, you will love her selection and I bet you can knock out most of your Christmas list there.

- March 1st... How are your new year's resolutions going for you? Did you jump on a new diet fad? Did you commit to getting back in shape, join a new gym like you promised yourself? It's all within our grasp, there are plenty of others who seem to lead a normal life, and manage to resist food temptations and find enough time in their schedule to workout. Did you get there? Are you still considering it? Are you searching for a little motivation? Here's a little help, a lot of help really: co [...]

- One could say they took a very long time to start dating... Laura and Joe have known each other since they were wearing diapers. Only in college did they become a tandem, but they've been building a universe of memories since their early childhood. And when you hang out with them just a little you get a glimpse of their solid bond. It's the strength and ease you find in couples who've been together a lifetime, with the spark of young love. I left our session last week with a happy feeling, [...]

- This weather is something else! Where is the winter??? Here in Pensacola, I'm photographing babies taking a bath outdoors... Perhaps those deep in snow somewhere around the globe would gladly trade their place with us, however a little cool would be welcome, just enough to pull out of the closet our nice sweaters (weather request totally fashion motivated).
Today, I'm sharing a few images from Olivia's session. I think her parents should start to check if Rapunzel will accept a room mate. Renee [...]

- I promised their mom, Buffi, to have some pictures up on the blog by the end of the day... it's nearly 10:30 pm. Griffith was full of energy and buoyant with life, as you'll see in the images, it shows in his happy face. Tinley couldn't have been any sweeter, patient and such a good big sister. Buffi, it was a lot of fun for me to photograph your children, I think they did absolutely fabulous!

One day..I'll be all caught up...that is when "chicken will have teeth" (french expression).
In the mean time, I will keep trying. Today, I'm sharing pictures of Julia and Max. It seems that not so long ago, I showed up at their house, with suitcases filled with backdrops and props to photograph Julia as a newborn. Now she's a vivacious little girl, with a giant lovely smile, so tender and caring with her little brother Max. And little Max, all boy in that precious investigative stage, will [...]

It's so rare for me to be on the other side of the lens. At best, once a year, around Christmas, I manage to get everyone committed to a family session. Like everyone else, I start by agonizing a little about where, when can we make the time with our ever busy schedules, what to wear.. (sounds familiar?), but quickly get my senses back and remember to just get it done! And I'm sooooo thankful to have occasionally a few pictures of my very favorite people in the world with me. To have forever [...]

Happy new year to all! Christmas happened in a whirlwind for us, we have been under construction for most of 2010, and just a couple days before the grand holiday, when our company was arriving, we were putting the final touches to our guest house. I have been overwhelmed by the process, it kept me very busy with little time left for my photography... back on track now. First post this year will be to share my top favorite subjects, new borns, twins! double the fun!
A very special family too [...]

That's right! We've acquired a little mobile home, an airstream, 19 feet. Bambi, as we affectionately call it, or the silver bullet. I never, in a million years, would have envisioned our family camping in any way. I tried it once, when I was 20. I keep fond memories of that dreadful weekend in "Bretagne", because I was with very special friends, but it rained the whole time, and although the place was charming, the tandem bike ride lovely, the constant cold wet weather was miserable. He [...]

A fun family, willing to brave the fierce ants of Fort Pickens with me for some pictures. The ants weren't the only creatures hanging around, we saw severals (3) friendly (by that I mean, they weren't the least bit frightened by our presence) mice. It was also nesting season in our National Park, and a variety of birds were circling the skies. After the Fort's relentless ants, the children asked if we could stop by the beach. I hadn't been since the whole BP disaster, have been avoiding news [...]

Before I move on to a new session, I had to post of few of this wonderful family together. Now, it's obvious to all, the good looks run in the gene pool.
