- You know how you get all those security questions to all those different websites when you have to put in your password? Your mother's maiden name? Your first pet's name? and this one: "What's your dream job?" I get so tickled when I get to answer that one with my real job: PHOTOGRAPHER! Because for real: how cool is it to take pictures of fresh newborns? Not just that, but I love to meet new families at this stage of their lives, my studio is just oozing with good vibes from all the love e [...]

- It is such an honor each time I get repeat clients. 3 years ago, I first met Lauryn and Ryan when I photographed their twins, "Max & Dax". It was so fun to see the boys so grown up and doting on their baby sister.

- When Sophia's mom told me she loved butterflies at her consultation visit, I knew I would have some options that she would love! She chose 2 butterflies and a lovely sunflower. It was such a delight to meet this beautiful family and witness all the love they have for their sweet little girl.

- Theo just 2 weeks new, a perfect little model. I'm so grateful for this job of mine, to get to meet growing family at this very special time in their lives.

- Photographed at 2 1/2 weeks new, Khalil started his session wide awake and a bit hungry. After a big bottle, he settled in and we were able to go through our whole mini session workflow and get a few extra poses like held in his parents arms. I love those images with parts of our adult bodies, they really emphasize how small newborns are, and by the looks of his parents, I would guess little Khalil is going to grow very tall! Won't it be nice for his family to have that one image when he used [...]

- "The delivery? It was interesting" she said. And then she gives us the time line of Alana's birth and I collect my jaw from the floor.
Travisha has a high tolerance for pain and was told by her OBGYN that she wasn't the slightest dilated at her 38 weeks visit. They even made plans to have her induced around 41 weeks. Her husband, who is training in Maryland, scheduled his visit around the expected birth date. So a couple days later when she started feeling some contractions she went about [...]

- You know when you meet someone and they leave you feeling happy, just because they have such a beautiful energy? This whole family is like that: the mom, Rebecca, the dad, Michael, the daughter, Yael, & sweet little Eli! I also met one set of grandparents and same delightful vibe! And I absolutely LOVE Rebecca's cousin, Donna!
A quick little side note: if you would like to reset, to find some peace in your busy life, bring calmness to your mind, go check out "Donna's Yoga Abode". She ha [...]

- Luke's mother is known by many women in the area for helping them becoming moms. She is an amazing OBGYN, and on the day of Luke's delivery, she had already delivered an other baby and worked on a C-section... super hero!!! I'm not sure how she manages to keep on doing her demanding job and be such a wonderful mother at the same time, but she makes it look effortless. Leslie came in my studio for a consultation before Luke was born, so she could choose the props we would use for his session. [...]

- Emilio's images are exactly what my clients get when they choose a mini session. I have a huge announcement!!! I'm so excited about this and will definitely have to make a special blog post about this wonderful lady! Christine Rush has joined me to be my assistant during my newborn sessions. Emilio's session was her first time and it went like a charm. I can't say enough good things about her: she absolutely loves baby and is very experienced as a nurse who has worked in the NICU unit and a [...]

- When a fellow photographer hires me to photograph their baby it is a huge honor! Little Ava's mom is an amazing photographer. Be sure to check her page and her work. Next time I can get all my family together we are going to see Charleen! Ava was a total dream to photograph, even though we had her session at nearly 6 weeks old! Her session is a typical example of the images you would get during a mini session: lots of different backgrounds, a variety of poses and plenty of headbands, flora [...]

- Little Lennon introduced a new challenge for me: She favored one side and depending on the pose, she sometimes preferred to be on the exact opposite then what I'm used to photograph. It had me constantly changing the direction of my light source. Even editing her images I'm all turned around, the shadows and highlights are not where I've come to expect them. I like it! The change (to my eye it's a big one!) is fun!
Isn't she the most adorable with her generous cheeks and her perfect little [...]

- Kaelan's session is a good example of the type of images you will get if you choose a newborn "mini session". It's not your typical 20 minute mini session. It's still a newborn session and I'm always very ambitious with getting a nice variety of poses and backgrounds. That means you will get to chill out in my studio while I take pictures of your beautiful baby for about 3 hours. I have lots of options for background fabrics and a plethora of wraps, headbands, crowns & floral crowns, bonnets [...]
