• Izzy

  • A little traveling... all the way to Fairhope to photograph Izzy in her last year of high school. It's only a little over an hour away from us, but somehow it has a very different feel. There are streets to walk on, flowers decorating the town, beautiful neighborhoods with majestic ancient trees. It's a beautiful town, with the Gulf on one side and agricultural fields with grazing cows on the other... a photographer's paradise... It was so exciting for me to work in a new location, I wished [...]
  • Who would have thought?

  • That's right! We've acquired a little mobile home, an airstream, 19 feet. Bambi, as we affectionately call it, or the silver bullet. I never, in a million years, would have envisioned our family camping in any way. I tried it once, when I was 20. I keep fond memories of that dreadful weekend in "Bretagne", because I was with very special friends, but it rained the whole time, and although the place was charming, the tandem bike ride lovely, the constant cold wet weather was miserable. He [...]
  • Reid

  • "as young as 3 days old" is my motto to photograph newborns, but Reid was a couple days shy of being 3 weeks old. Yet it was a fabulous session, to be fair he was a little over 5 weeks early, so technically he should still be floating in Courtney's belly... Like all newborn I photograph, I fell in love with him, so sweet, cuddly, just peaceful. I have 3 children. You would think I have the coolest images of them as newborns, but no, not one. It will be forever one of my biggest regrets. At [...]
  • Brooke

  • From Navarre High school, in her last year, Brooke. The weather was beautiful that day, in fact it has been gorgeous ever since. Brooke came with several lovely outfit, mind you anything would look fantastic on her. She has the most luscious long hair, stunning blue eyes and dazzling smile. Check out my new "old camera", a special find this summer on the flea market of Aix-en-Provence, it was made by the brothers Lumiere (which in french means light, what an appropriate name!) [...]
  • Alyssa & Jenna

  • I don't know how this happened but I forgot to post the images of sweet Alisa. She'll celebrate her first birthday next month!!! Without further ado,
  • Rylen

  • It's been a while... I could explain the many reasons I've slacked so long, but I would be stealing the show from today's precious star, Miss Rylen. She's only 7 days old on these pictures. Her parents, Melanie and Ti were ready to have her session at just 4 days, but the weather had other plans. It worked out just fine, after a slow start, we finally had her "milk-drunk" and were able to get many poses. I'm sharing just a few here for a sneak peek to the very patient (thank you very much) [...]
  • Jessie & André

  • All the way from my dear Provence, I though I would share a couple pictures of one of our favorite baby sitter and her fiancé. As long as we've known Jessie, André has been in her life, and it was pretty clear they would become husband and wife eventually. In the military for a few more years, there is a great big chance they will travel the world, enrich their lives with different cultures. We are sad to see her leave, but are excited for them to start on this wonderful adventure together. [...]
  • The Q Crew

  • A fun family, willing to brave the fierce ants of Fort Pickens with me for some pictures. The ants weren't the only creatures hanging around, we saw severals (3) friendly (by that I mean, they weren't the least bit frightened by our presence) mice. It was also nesting season in our National Park, and a variety of birds were circling the skies. After the Fort's relentless ants, the children asked if we could stop by the beach. I hadn't been since the whole BP disaster, have been avoiding news [...]
  • Anna Claire

  • All has been a little silent on my blog lately, I haven't left just yet, only getting ready... Provence, here I come! Let me share Anna's session. Anna is no longer a senior, but already well into college. She finished her first year at UF, and was thrilled to receive her letter of acceptance into Sewanee very recently. So mature and eager to live the ambitious life she has mapped out for herself, Anna "croque la vie a pleine dents". It's only fitting to use french to describe Anna, as she' [...]
  • soon-to-be-parents

  • I hope everyone has had a wonderful memorial day weekend. The weather in Pensacola was delightful amidst a few showers, which helped in keeping the temperatures down. The kids are out of school, and summer is just starting. For McKenzie and Gary this will be a memorable summer, with the arrival of their first born, little Miss Grey (I love the name). You know, I'm a big advocate of photographing newborns early on, but really I think, all stages of our lives should be documented. When a wome [...]
  • Anna Grace

  • Because I wanted to prove my point, photographing a very young new born is best, I'm posting many images from this session. There are plenty more for Jenni to choose. We calculated that Anna Grace was only 60 hours when she came into my studio, and it made a world of a difference. I was able to get just about my whole repertoire of poses. I've said it before, this family is very special to me, we've been friends for a long time, and I've photographed all 3 babies. Walton, their oldest, was [...]
  • Coming soon, a baby girl

  • Wednesday probably, I should have Anna Grace on my blog. She was my youngest newborn up to date, only 60 hours into our world. Seriously, just a few days at that tender age makes a world of a difference for me. They sleep a lot and much more soundly in their first 4-5 days of life. Everyday, they develop and become more alert. When you think of it, at 6 days they're already twice as old as at 3 days. I was so excited to have Anna Grace so early in my studio, that Jenni suggested I request [...]
