  • Rylen

  • It's been a while... I could explain the many reasons I've slacked so long, but I would be stealing the show from today's precious star, Miss Rylen. She's only 7 days old on these pictures. Her parents, Melanie and Ti were ready to have her session at just 4 days, but the weather had other plans. It worked out just fine, after a slow start, we finally had her "milk-drunk" and were able to get many poses. I'm sharing just a few here for a sneak peek to the very patient (thank you very much) [...]
  • Anna Grace

  • Because I wanted to prove my point, photographing a very young new born is best, I'm posting many images from this session. There are plenty more for Jenni to choose. We calculated that Anna Grace was only 60 hours when she came into my studio, and it made a world of a difference. I was able to get just about my whole repertoire of poses. I've said it before, this family is very special to me, we've been friends for a long time, and I've photographed all 3 babies. Walton, their oldest, was [...]
  • Coming soon, a baby girl

  • Wednesday probably, I should have Anna Grace on my blog. She was my youngest newborn up to date, only 60 hours into our world. Seriously, just a few days at that tender age makes a world of a difference for me. They sleep a lot and much more soundly in their first 4-5 days of life. Everyday, they develop and become more alert. When you think of it, at 6 days they're already twice as old as at 3 days. I was so excited to have Anna Grace so early in my studio, that Jenni suggested I request [...]
  • MacKinlay

  • Last week, I got to meet this wonderful family. Alex came in with 6 days old MacKinlay, who was a very hungry little angel. Alex was very inspiring to me, so in tune with nature. She's an emergency room PA, and wanted to experience a natural birth, while still benefiting from modern hospital technology. And she did just that, in the delivery room, she delivered her baby herself, under the watchful eye of her OBGYN, not your everyday occurrence... Alex and Randy, it was a pleasure to meet you [...]
  • Henry

  • An other sweet little baby boy to share this week. I was quite excited to try out a few props, a new wrap, new hat with matching diaper cover, the bucket, the stool, and the chinese basket. Henry did a great job modeling for us:)
  • Emerson

  • He's here! I love photographing the belly, and then meeting the baby. Right at 2 weeks old, Emerson was a champion little model. As you all must have realized by now, newborn sessions are some of my very favorite, for the very simple reason, I get to hold a baby. They are so small, yet so perfect, so easy to please, content with affection. Somehow, they have the power to "stop the world", wash away the worries and stress, with their simple demand of love and gentleness. Bridget and Colby, [...]
  • Japanese Magnolia

  • Announcing the true start of spring with their early blooms, the Japanese Magnolias are giving Pensacola an enchanting feel. Their flowers are whimsical, delicate with a subtle fragrance, and while they grace our town with their beauty, I'm filled with wonder. I believe the Soulangeana (the botanical name) is my all time favorite tree. This year, as I was in my marveling state, I had an urge to use a branch for a picture. It became an obsession. I'll spare you the logistic details of gettin [...]
  • Collier

  • Probably my best newborn session to date, little Collier was a dream model, sleeping so well, I didn't want to stop photographing him. I'm restraining myself and posting here only a few of the poses we accomplished. I have a feeling this little guy will be getting plenty of attention, with already 2 older lovely sisters, and being the first grandchild on his father's side. The proud parents, I couldn't resist including this funny comic fro [...]
  • Bella

  • It's been 2 1/2 years now that I've been a client's of Lynda's. The faith of my hair color is in her magic hands. One day, I'll embrace the grey, but not just yet. My visits are frequent (stubborn whites oblige!), but it's always a pleasure to visit with Lynda. After 7 weeks in France, I'm always anxious to sit back in her chair. This past summer, I walked into the familiar saloon to see Lynda cradling a precious newborn girl. In the space of a few weeks, she and her husband, had been offe [...]
  • Quinton

  • Bashfully, I'm posting after a solid 2 months of blog abstinence. I don't even have a good reason for such a long absence, just "a series of unfortunate events", nothing worth going into details. I am very thankful for the emails from faithful blog reader asking when I would post back some pictures. I'll try to be more persistent, I'm certainly not in lack of images to share at this point, and have some from our trip to France this past Christmas. Since our return I have been very busy setti [...]
  • Charlotte

  • Just a 24 more hours until we board on our plane, still no suitcases packed, but here I am in front of my computer... it's addicting, I love what I do. It's the most satisfying feeling to edit a file into a beautiful image on my screen, and then such a reward to share them on my blog. Isn't she lovely? Just so peaceful. I've used a couple of my new hats and "wraps", and am delighted with the way they turned out. Can you tell I'm all bubbly with excitement and joy to go home for Christmas? [...]
  • Keller

  • How sweet is this little guy? He was just a charm, perfectly comfortable swaddled in the stork/branch pose. I love my new branch, it's from a beautiful tree grown in California, I'll have to get the name of it. I'm also crazy about those little knitted hats, isn't this one just so cute? I must say the model is adorable, and probably anything on him would be very cute.
