Contemporary portraits

It’s with great excitement, that I’m launching today, a new genre of photography: “contemporary portraits”. Using my french heritage, I will call it, in my blog, “La Femme”. Because it’s a celebration of us women, today, everyday. When we pamper ourselves a little, slip on our nice dress, we all belong on the front cover of a fashion magazine. We are all that beautiful! I’m drawn to beauty, I see it in everything and everyone, let me show you how I see you through my lens.
Today, is an introduction to my portfolio, with a “before & after” picture of my 7 models. Everyday, this week, I will dedicate a post to each one of them. Please, do not be offended by the “before & after” picture, there is no malice on my part. I just wish to show that we are all beautiful no matter how we feel after that first look in the mirror as we wake up. We all carry that “va-voom”.
The session itself was a blast. We were very lucky to have the very talented, Creagh, make up artist and owner of Skin, with Nikki working their magic with brushes and color palettes. After sitting in their chair, the next treat was to have Cherish from Laurel & Co Hair Design styling hair. A table covered with make up brushes, lipsticks, a rainbow of eye shadow colors, an other with hair styling equipment, some champagne, fruit, sweets, and a fantastic group of women… a girls day out, feeling beautiful, a treat, we all deserve it!

Had so much fun doing the photoshoot! Can't wait to see all the pics. Wow - my "before" pic was scary - ha ha. I'll remember never to wear that shirt again in public. Anyway, I loved the special attention and being a part of your great artistic ability at work. You are such a wonderful photographer. I hope all the ladies that go to this blog take the time to call you and setup their photography session. They surely not regret it! Also, men - this could be a great idea to gift your special ladies!

Oh, Arielle, I can't believe the "before" shot! Thank Goodness I came straight to 511 with "Clean face and hair" to let the fabulous "miracle workers" work their magic... :-) It was a great time and I enjoyed being a part of your creative enterprise! You are a good friend and a wonderful photographer!
