Meet sweet little Edie, 28 days when I photographed her. A little “old” by my standards, I’ve been known to encourage parents to come straight from the hospital to my studio…. However, it was an excellent session, this little angel slept through it all, with a little brake for her bottle, and at the end opened her eyes for a few frames.

On my new stump,

I love the way she covered her face. Her parents said she was also a little camera shy for her ultrasounds.

Special day in our lives

My first born, Will is turning 13! We are officially entering the teens. Will is a fine young teenager, and although at times I’m impatient to see what his future holds, what he will become, I’m also in no rush to press time. Seriously, I can see this day 13 years ago so clearly, I can almost feel it happening, the drive to the hospital, room 7 at baptist, all our families and friends, his face when I first saw him, that rush of love for this new little person in our lives… It’s so vivid! He’ll be home from school in just a little bit, he’s now taller than I am (it happened just over Christmas brake, that fast!), speaks with a deep manly voice… he’s changing so rapidly, but yet I can still feel him cradled in my arms, rocking him to sleep in that blue stripped glider.
Will’s grand mother says you shouldn’t even bat your eyes, life will go by so fast, you really can’t afford to even miss that. It’s so true, and again as I reflect on time, I once more regret not having any images of my babies as newborns.
I’m very happy for Jennie and Jason. They managed to fit in a session with their beautiful baby Samantha and will forever have pictures of their daughter when she was so little, they could hold her in their palms.

Maggie & Saylor

Happy new year to all! Christmas happened in a whirlwind for us, we have been under construction for most of 2010, and just a couple days before the grand holiday, when our company was arriving, we were putting the final touches to our guest house. I have been overwhelmed by the process, it kept me very busy with little time left for my photography… back on track now. First post this year will be to share my top favorite subjects, new borns, twins! double the fun!
A very special family too, Rae and Wes Leytham, super talented wedding photographer in the area and surroundings with their adorable daughter Avery, and 3 weeks old babies. It was rather a quick session, but I would have gladly photograph these two angels all day. They couldn’t have been sweeter, and Rae took all pressure off by saying after the first pose, that it alone was enough to make it a success session. Uncle Patsy, the other amazing Pensacola wedding photographer, has been even more impatient than the parents to see these pictures… Since I love you so much Patsy, I didn’t want to make you wait any longer.

Saylor,

Maggie,

I’ve done some damage on Etsy lately…, this adorable hat came from: “MadAboutColour”

This super cute hat came with a matching diaper cover, from “MitziKnitz” on Etsy,

Seriously? Aren’t they just the cutest babies ever?

One of these headbands came from “ChicPretties” on Etsy,

I believe in angels, seems to me one was just tickling Saylor in her sleep, then moved to Maggie in the fallowing picture

Sweetness,

What a B-EAU-TI-FUL family!
