Brittany & Gabriel

They met totally unexpectedly, Brittany was decorating her new home, and shopping for furniture. Gabriel was working in that store and Cupid struck him hard. When she left he had already decided he would marry her someday. On their first date, Gab might have been a little nervous, knowing he was with the women of his dreams, but Brittany agreed to a second date, and they’ve been an item ever since. They’re new to the area, from Louisiana, and will tie the knot this June. They’re so happy together, joy oozes all around them. We had so much fun taking these pictures, I can’t wait for the wedding.

You know that feeling when you’re so madly in love, no mountain is high enough…, you just feel at the top of the world,

Meet Stormy, our Vet’s beautiful Husky. Last week, was our first visit to the East Hill Animal Clinic. Our previous Vet moved too far away for us, and now Coco will be a patient of Dr. Laura Hall. Coco was presenting some very odd symptoms, which had me worried she might turn into psycho dog: every other night she would wake me every couple of hours to go outside. The first night I ignored her, but learned the next morning to run when she called the next time ( I won’t describe the mess, nasty!). The weird thing was the inconsistency of the problem. This went on for 3 nights over a week’s time.  I ended up sleeping in the hall way… I was so relieved when Dr. Hall told me she had parasites, I know, some may think that’s yucky, to me it was the best news: Coco’s not out to drive me insane, and we can treat the problem. We are now back on our regular sleep routine, and Dr. Hall is our hero. Coco is seriously thankful for the change of diet that came along with the treatment. She’s always been a picky eater.  I guess with Chanel as a middle name you just can’t handle plain dry dog food, but she loves the can stuff, heated in the microwave please for princess Coco.
Stormy is a beautiful dog, with a very strong mind. I’m afraid she had other plans for her morning than playing model for me. She mostly paced around my little studio, anxious to go outside, but with Loraine’s help we managed a few great shots. She was beautiful, after having been pampered at the Pet Resort.

Charleston, Pensacola Baby Photographer

21/2 years ago I had my first newborn session with Walton. Last week, I met his adorable sister. It was pure joy to hold precious Charlie and I always tremendously enjoy visiting with this family. I ventured with some new poses, and am so thankful for their patience and willingness to try different things. That morning before the session, I was surfing the net, and came across this amazing photographer’s work, Carrie Sandoval. I fell in love with her “hanging babies from a branch, stork style”. I rushed outside scoping the trees in my backyard, and quickly located a good enough branch, interesting enough, strong enough, not too high (…) and already loose from the trunk. A little hanging from my part, and I brought back my trophy to the car, along with the rest of my photography equipment (there is so much it must feel to my client like I’m moving in).

*BONUS* LEAVE 25 COMMENTS FOR THIS FAMILY, AND JENNI & BUCKY WILL GET A FREE 5X7 IMAGE FROM ME. OR LEAVE 40, AND THEY WILL RECEIVE AN 8X10!!!
This is what we managed,

I know I say it with each baby, but she’s just perfect, they all are.

She looks just like her big brother!

I love having all 3 generations, Charlie, Jenni and Soozi

Already smiling, I think she’ll have her mother’s beautiful smile and eyes,

This is my all time favorite family picture with a newborn,

Oh, how I love to come across these little gems of childhood wisdom. Magalie is always drawing, in fact all 3 of my children are always sneaking into my computer room to steal some of my printing paper, to draw. Yesterday, several new drawings were left on the kitchen table, and this morning I found this one along with an elaborate map of a fantasy world (Tëradorá, a new story Will is working on), and a “pizza” newspaper hat (an Olivia creation). All treasures, but this one especially. Meg is only 8 years old, but she has her life priorities straight: a huge big red heart for Love, happy parents, lots of relative, water, a healthy meal (notice the green broccoli, good girl!), a very non-pretentious house and simple clothes (”closess”).
Will, Meg and miss O each own my heart. They are a million different ways to love, but the love a mother holds for her children just cannot be measured, and no words seem powerful enough to describe the intensity of the emotion either. I am blessed everyday with the love these 3 beautiful souls give back to me.
This should be a mother’s day post!
On a side note, I gave myself the day off and went shopping with a sister-girlfriend. I hadn’t been out in a long time and was squealing with delight when I saw the bright cheerful colors in the one and only store we went to. I totally splurged and could probably fill out a J Crew catalog with my big bag of purchase! I’m set for the spring, and summer, no more shopping for Arielle.

Loulou Belle, Yorkie

  • Dogs

Dog lovers, be aware, miss Loulou Belle is A-DO-RA-BLE! She’s as sweet as can be, but of course her small size make her even more irresistible. Her mama was telling me that when they first brought her home, she was so tiny she could fit in her husband’s front shirt pocket! Now, at 3 months, he can still hold her in the palm of one hand. I think she hasn’t reach 1 pound yet.

She was very aware, and we have many cute shots in all different poses.

Patient,

Curious,

Totally digging the cheese treats,

We even brought in Coco into the room, and she became very playful, pouncing…

All the exercise was a lot for her, she settled down

And quickly fell asleep like babies do, very suddenly

La fin. To me her “derriere” reminds me very much of a black bear, only miniature…
