I go through this periodically, a bit of a lacking presence on my blog, followed by sincere apologies for disappearing. Like everyone I know “I am very busy”, lame excuse but here it is. I started the New Year not so much with new resolution but more the promise to keep the door open, to take the time to follow my dreams. And do I know how to dream! We are extending the house… a bigger studio, women photography, I’m learning to make jewelry… Jewelry, that’s right, and pretty soon (in 2 weeks time) you will see me with my girls holding a little stand on the Palafox market. I will be sure to send a facebook notice prior.

On to this sweet boy. He is the smallest baby I have ever photographed! Jessica brought me her son Mack last week to photograph him at 4 pounds and 6 ounces! He is a preemie and such a strong healthy little one, he was quickly released from the hospital. I was very careful to keep him warm during his session and we were able to get several very sweet poses, great memories for his parents.

Mack is sporting a lovely bonnet, knitted by yours truly:)

These 2 are the most adorable kids! One look with that sweet smile from Michael and my heart mets on the spot. Gail, I’m not sure why you haven’t signed them up with a modeling agency yet, you would be set for life, Dan could retire very early…

Riana, Pensacola high school senior photographer

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this session. We had it just a little before the time saving change. It was the ideal time of the year for senior photography in Pensacola. Mind you, now is excellent too, the weather is perfect for fun clothes, layers, boots, scarfs, hats… all my favorites. BUT, the only inconvenience is that the sun sets so early now that we really need to get started close to lunch time and you might miss a little of school that day.

Onto Riana, graduating at the end of the school year. No need to write how beautiful she is, the pictures speak a thousand words, and she’s just as beautiful inside. Talented, with a beautiful voice, you’ll see her in the front row of the Pensacola’s children chorus, right next to her sister Teya. I have been very fortunate to photograph her older sister, Jocelyn a couple years ago and I look forward to Teya’s session in a few years.

The year is going by so quickly, next week it’s Thanksgiving and already there is a feel of Christmas in the air, with decorations up in the streets, the houses… Let’s not even mention the stores, most went straight for Christmas and forgot about Halloween altogether!
Amelie and Kent have plenty to be thankful for with this sweet boy of theirs.

Skyler, 1 year old, already!

It really feels like just yesterday when I first met Skyler and photographed him as a newborn. Yet, today he’s learning to walk!
I know I’ve been favoring Facebook and seemed to have forgotten about my blog. I do much prefer the blog configuration, as I’m all about the images, it’s definitely here that you can see them better! However, I get instant feedback on FB, giving me the impression that I’m really sharing my pictures with an “audience”, and it’s very gratifying. I’m also exploring Pinterest, what an interesting concept! We have made so much progress in sharing with the world thanks to the internet in just these last few years, it’s mind boggling. The only downfall is that it can suck you into a time warp zone. I’ve learned to keep myself on a timer to try to fend this danger.

How smart of his parents to have bought this basket after his newborn session. It will be really cool for Skyler to use it later, maybe as a collenge student, and to have these pictures of him in it.
