Anna Claire

All has been a little silent on my blog lately, I haven’t left just yet, only getting ready… Provence, here I come!
Let me share Anna’s session. Anna is no longer a senior, but already well into college. She finished her first year at UF, and was thrilled to receive her letter of acceptance into Sewanee very recently. So mature and eager to live the ambitious life she has mapped out for herself, Anna “croque la vie a pleine dents”. It’s only fitting to use french to describe Anna, as she’s a francophile and has already visited Normandie this summer by offering her aupair services to a french family. Soon, she will return to Paris with her mother to discover our beautiful capital. We had different location ideas for her session, and Anna suggested her grand parents farm, which holds a special place in her heart, and turned out to be a wonderful backdrop for her many outfits and gorgeous evening gowns. We had to reschedule once due to bad weather, and as we drove into Alabama (on a clear day in Pensacola), the skies shifted… Anna settled for her first picture, and it started to rain. It rained just about the whole time. Challenged we got a little creative, I pulled out my flash, the duck tape, and it all turned out perfect.

Check out Anna’s dancing shoes! And she knows how to tango with her magic slippers, it’s one of her passions.

Ansley

With only one more year of high school to attend, Ansley is ready for the great college adventure (seriously after visiting a few campus, I want to go to college in the US!). Whereas most of her friends are still wondering what they’ll want to master in, she sees drawings, intersecting lines, and numbers with architecture. We had a fast pace afternoon, with my very ambitious numerous locations, spread out around town.
I would also like to brag about Ansley’s mother, Yvette. Yvette is celebrating her shop’s, Belle Amé, first anniversary this month. Several years ago, she was selling out of her house her soap creations. Now, she has a wonderful little store on 9th avenue, where you’ll find the best product on earth, and she makes it all. Her fragrances are delicious, lasting, her body lotion is the only one that can make my alligator skin baby soft (fo real!). Aside from selling some of the best merchandise in her industry, her store deserves to be featured as highlight in today’s economy. Her story is one of success. Yvette has exploited every modern network (from having some world famous utube sisters review and recommend her body treats, a presence on every internet network, to even sending a gift basket for mother’s day to major celebrities). Just a year after opening her store, she’s sought after around the world, shipping her goods in all continents. A very successful and inspiring story indeed.

Liz

Spring is here! Unlike everyone else I wasn’t ready for “good weather”. Our cool temperatures suited me just fine, it isn’t that I dislike Spring, I actually LOVE it, it’s just that I’m only too aware of it’s shortness. It seems to be a quick introduction to a long hot summer…
I’m so inspired by all the colors, the lovely blooms on pear trees, the few cherry blossoms… Driving around town, I see opportunities everywhere for nice pictures, I wish I had a group of teens, kids readily available for all the creative impulses that pop up in my wondering mind.
Lucky for me, Liz, a Navarre high school senior, was willing to zigzag through town with me, and explore a few spots. She made me, my camera and my blog very happy! Liz, you’re absolutely STUN-NING!

Mary Margaret

I’ve known Momo since she was 7 years old. She’s now blossomed into a beautiful young lady, leading a very active live as a sophomore at Pensacola CHS.

A little tribute to Olivia

I’ve mentioned lately a special visitor from France, and thought I would post a couple pictures from this past summer. It’s been nearly 2 weeks since my niece returned to home, and we miss her! We were very fortunate she chose to spend her winter brake with us. To my children, she’s a dream caring big sister, to me she was a valuable assistant and such wonderful company. She’s left me dreaming and hoping my daughters will grow up to be as charming, lovely, responsible, and mature as she is.
She’s also strikingly beautiful!

Sarah

Phew! It’s been a crazy month. With our trip to New York, a small hurricane, Veteran’s day and Thanksgiving, the children will have gone just 11 days to school out of a 30 day month… I love spending all the extra time with them, but I’ve never been so behind with my files. And to top it off, I’ve just returned from an absolutely fantastic 2 days workshop in San Diego with the Baby as Art team (more to come on that soon, with some beautiful images).
For now, let me present Sarah, a Navarre high school senior. A very determined young lady, blessed with many talents, she has already chosen a carrier in law. I can already see her marching in a courtroom, a very assertive lawyer. I have no doubt she will succeed whatever she sets her mind to, she’s a hard worker and already valedictorian of her class.
Did I also mention a killer figure, gorgeous blue eyes and a beautiful smile?

Jocelyn

She’s gifted in many ways, a music artist, an accomplished pianist. When she sings, you think you’re hearing an angel, and she sang in french for me, I though I was transported into the heavens! She dances, has the most delicate hands, and a gorgeous figure. Her dream is Broadway, and I’m convinced she will become a star. She carries a bible in her purse, has the sweetest disposition, and was so loving with her mother… an angel in many ways. Jocelyn, I so enjoyed our time together, your personality shines through these images, I wish I could also post a recording of your beautiful voice.

Chrissy

She likes the beach, the sun, she’s a strong swimmer, she’s a “flip-flop” kinda girl. Very relax and easy going, she doesn’t need much “fluff”, she’s a natural beauty. We would say: “elle est belle au naturel”. This coming year will be her last of high school, and then there’s a good chance she’ll get a swim team scholarship.
We hit many locations for her photo shoot, and it was a tough job to pick some favorites for this post, she’s stunning in every image!

I had a vision in this field, a bit like an anthropology catalog spread. I’m very happy with the way it came out.

I ♥ faces

Trying something new. I just found out about this cool blog, I ♥ faces, which holds every week a photo contest in 2 categories (children and adult). There is a new theme each time, and this week it’s sepia tone.

I’ll enter it with my favorite image of Taylor:
(I just love the circular blur created by the “garden wire sphere” I shoot this frame through)

Taylor

Narrowing this session down was not a simple task! I have many favorites. Taylor met me last week for her senior portraits, she’s about to complete her last year of high school. When she showed up at my door, I remembered her mother telling me over the phone how beautiful her daughter is (I know as mothers, we all tend to be biased, but Tami wasn’t exaggerating). We spent our time between the big sexy food location, and one of Pensacola’s coolest hip shop: Duh. I’ve had those 2 spots in mind for a while, and am so happy to finally have had a chance to try them out. Taylor has part of her future mapped out already, she’s fascinated with Political science, which really has me impressed (I’m seriously challenged in that field).

One of my very favorites. I shot this frame through a “garden wire sphere”, I love the effect it gives the background, and Taylor is just stunning!

I also love this picture,

The left frame is an other of my favorites,
